What about bad weather?

Beaten Path Tours will run rain, snow or shine. That being said, it may be slightly altered and we may sometimes seek refuge inside for some of the story telling. If you have booked a tour and wish to change your date and/or time because of the weather, we will be happy to reschedule your tour.

Am I fit enough?

Portland is a city on a hill and the no matter how we try, we will be going up and down the hill from the Waterfront to Downtown. Also the East End is uphill from the Downtown area and we will be walking for much of the time. However, we will be strolling at a leisurely pace and cutting back and forth between streets, so most people should not have any issues with the physical aspect of the city. We will also be walking on cobblestone streets and shoes with heels are not adviseable.

How much do the tours cost?

Each tour costs $20 for Adults.  Seniors, Military members and Veterans will get a $3 discount  Supervised children, 12 and under may join the tour for no charge. We accept cash, checks and credit and debit card.

There are several garages and lots in the city where you can park. Unfortunately, the tour is too long for you to park on the street. The website www.bestparking.com/portland-maine-parking will show you where you can park and the cost of each location.
